SWAT CQB After Action Report 28th June 2009

Feeling HOT HOT HOT!

Well it certainly was a very hot day for skirmishing. With the sweat dripping off everyone.

At least one skirmisher became a human Chrono with all the hits on his body after taking his shirt off. Lots of t-shirts and bare flesh for the guns to focus on.

A great start to the day by the blues with the visitors from Manc-AS on side and a hard fought victory in the CQB Block to kick it all off for the 'warm-up' event with some great tactical play throughout.

The battles continued with 'street fighting' with the constant onslaught of Reds in wave after wave. Although valiantly held off by the Blues after the 1st Bunker fell it was just a matter of time for the second. The 'storming' of the 3rd bunker soon overran the defenders in pretty quicktime by the Reds, very well played by them. The retreat by Blues back to CQB Block and eventually the 'Officers Mess' building was a rag tag affair.

When it came time for a Blues attacking game in the 'Defend the VIP' game this war correspondent recieved his own injuries in the the course of battle. Right on the end of his nose, just where my face cover had been dropped down in order to cool off, it bled like a good'un - be warned it happens in airsoft. Just another war wound to show off in work!

the war wound

Despite the heat everyone had a great time with good friends and quite a few war wounds to go around I think! Come on down and join in the fun for yourself at SWAT Airsoft.

Some comments from players:

"...I loved it as usual..."

"...great day which i thoroughly enjoy..."

"...hope to be kicking ass again lol cheers to u all ..."

"Another day of excellent marshalling and a fun filled killing fest!"

Enjoyed my foray back into the world of SWAT. The day was made doubly good with the presence of elements of the Manc-as, RDM and Team SWAT crews.

    Keep up the blogging, Yosser!

  3. Unknown Said,

thanks Firestorm, glad you Manc-AS lads could make it over to Saighton. It was good seeing you operate even if you do need more practice on the BFG front. Hope to see you all again soon.

Thanks for the comments Wraith, good to see you back. Your experience is invaluable and the competion is hotting up with all the experienced teams we have. It's good for the newer sections to learn from pro's like yourself.

  5. mellotron Said,

Just got to add my appreciation to the SWAT chaps for a great day out.

As Firesorm said, cracking well run day. Best safety brief I've heard anywhere. (No Oscars this time tho'). Games were really good. I liked the reverse of the morning games in the afternoon.

The only trouble with being stacked up behind Firestorm is usually that there's no-one left to lob BFGs at... ( in a safe underarm posting sort of way)

We'll definitely be back for more.
