CZ09 Update

More INTEL from the Mad Badger Airsoft team with boots on the ground over at IWA, Germany. This time with intel from the ASG booth. With the exciting news still miles off on the new EVO Scorpion - its a new pistol stealing the lime light!….

“ASG have been beavering away since the Las Vegas Shot Show this year and appear at IWA 2013 with a News on a new pistol concept, the CZ09.

The real steel pistol first appeared at the 2012 Shot Show in the US and is part of the CZ pistol family. Chambered in both 9mm and .40, this polymer-framed pistol has an external hammer and is about the size of a Glock 19. For its size, it holds an impressive number of rounds (16+1 in 9mm, and 12+1 in .40 S&W). This DA/SA automatic can be had either with a decocker or a safety, so it can be carried cocked and locked.

The new airsoft concept CZ09 was pride of place on the ASG stand, and will be first available in .177 later this year, to be followed by 6mm BB. I would expect the 6mm BB version to be available for retail by next year (2014). Having had a good chat with Jesper from ASG, he was able to reveal that the pistol would be CO2 in both 6mm and .177 and the fps would make the gun skirmishable. The "mock up" of the future gun was 1:1 scale with the real steel, and illustrated that the 6mm version would be honoring both the scale, function and look of the real steel incuding interchangable back straps making it suitable for those with large to small hands!. This is definitely going to be one to look for this year!
